The Queen's Platinum Jubilee

The Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II will be celebrated in the Commonwealth during June 2022, to mark the 70th anniversary of her accession to the throne on 6 February 1952.

Her Majesty The Queen will become the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee after 70 years of service.

Buckingham Palace has planned an extensive programme of events to mark the milestone, from concerts, pudding competitions, to the lighting of beacons.

The commemoration will be taking place from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th of June, where it will be combined with the spring bank holiday to create a four-day weekend.
