Telecare

All services running as normal with use of PPE and following risk assessments.

Telecare is a personal alarm system that allows you to get help at the press of a button 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

It can provide medical information for health professionals so that the correct care can be provided, giving you and your family confidence and reassurance that you can stay safe in your own home.

The service involves providing a constant telephone link between your home and Careline. All that is needed is a telephone line and an electrical power point.

How does it work?

Sensors can be automatically activated or a button can be pressed for help.

If a sensor is activated, a message is sent to Careline where trained operators take the most appropriate action. This can include contacting a nominated Emergency contact, Emergency Services/Doctor and in specific circumstances sending out a Careline Support Co-Ordinator.

This service starts from £5.25 (including VAT) per week. There is a £52.50 installation fee.

What sensors are available to suit my needs?

A range of sensors are available to suit personal needs. They include:

  • MyAmie - A pendant alarm worn around the neck or on the wrist which triggers an alarm call when within a radius of up to 50 metres from the Lifeline unit.
  • Fall Detector - Automatically detects a serious fall and raises an alert. Can also be used as a personal trigger.
  • Bed/Chair Occupancy - Provides an early warning by alerting that the user has left their bed/chair and not returned within a predetermined time.
