Make a rent payment

Unfortunately during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic we are unable to offer rent payment services at the Civic Offices, Swadlincote. Please use one of the other payment options that are available below.

You can pay your bills using any of the following methods:

Online

You can use this website to make a payment online.

Make a payment

Direct Debit

If you choose to pay by Direct Debit you must complete a Direct Debit mandate. (docx, 1.7mb) When this is returned to us we will calculate your payments, let you know what they are and when they will start. We can take the required payment out of your account on either the 7th, 14th, 21st or 28th of every month. It can be cancelled at any time by contacting your bank.

Standing Order

A Standing Order is a direct instruction to your bank to pay us. All rent should be payable to South Derbyshire District Council. Our sort code is 20-63-36 and our account number 53546667. Ensure you quote your full reference number. For any further information about paying your rent by Direct Debit or Standing Order, contact your Housing Officer.

Self-serve

There are two pay points located near the reception area at the Civic Offices in Swadlincote, which are similar to bank cash points and process money securely within 24 hours. You can use them during Civic Office opening hours.
