Council housing rent

If you are a Council tenant, we charge you a weekly rent for your home. This charge is applied to your rent account every Monday

Your rent helps to pay for the services we provide to tenants and the maintenance of your home. We have a firm but fair collection policy - we will offer advice and support to help you manage your rent account but we will always take action against those who do not pay their rent or will not work with us to pay off their arrears.

We send tenants a rent statement showing all payments and charges to their rent account.

Your Housing Officer is here to help you. If you receive a low income or are in receipt of personal benefits you may qualify for Housing Benefit to help pay your rent.
