Property Flood Resilience Repair Grant Scheme

Residential and business properties affected by Storm Babet may qualify for a Property Flood Resilience Repair Grant up to £5,000. This grant scheme is to be administered by Derbyshire County Council.

Please Note - the above grant is only open to properties which were flooded by Storm Babet and which have not previously benefited from previous Flood Resilience Grants. Any properties which were only flooded during Storm Henk, or any properties which previously received a Flood Resilience Grant will not qualify.

If your home or business has been flooded because of Storm Babet, you can apply for financial help.

Support is available through a Government scheme known as the Flood Recovery Framework, which is used in exceptional circumstances to help councils and communities following severe flooding.

Community Recovery Grant

The Community Recovery Grant pays up to £500 to residents if the home where you normally live has been flooded or where it was considered unliveable.

Council Tax Discount Scheme

If you have to move out of the home where you normally live because it flooded during Storm Babet, you could be eligible for 100% discount on Council Tax for at least three months.

Business Recovery Grant

Small-to-medium sized businesses could be eligible for up to £2,500 if they had flood damage to property, equipment, stock or suffered loss of trade because customers or suppliers couldn’t reach them.

Business Rates Relief Scheme

If you can’t open your business premises because it was flooded during Storm Babet, you could be eligible for 100% rate relief for a minimum of three months.
