Final week for business award entries

The Council is reminding local businesses that there is just one week left for entries to the 2022 East Staffordshire and South Derbyshire Business Awards.

The deadline is 5pm on Friday 23 September and there are ten categories that businesses can enter, including two categories that recognise individual employee performance.

There has been a change to one of the categories this year, with the retail sector now included in the Leisure, Hospitality and Retail Award. This came about after a number of retail businesses asked to be included after successfully trading through the recent pandemic.

The annual awards have been running since 2010, and after an enforced break returned last year. Businesses and organisations of all sizes are being encouraged to enter, including start-ups that have been trading for less than three years.

The Awards Evening itself will take place at the Pirelli Stadium on Thursday 10 November. It is always a sell-out event, and the best way to get a place is to enter the awards and hopefully get selected as a finalist.
