Festival of Lesiure 2016 - Carnival woman Festival of Lesiure 2016 - Carnival woman

Businesses, charities and fairground ride operators are being reminded not to miss the chance to be part of this year’s Festival of Leisure in South Derbyshire, the well-loved two-day event that draws thousands of visitors every year.

With Carnival of the Animals as this year’s theme, there will be a real party feel and the 12.30pm start time – half an hour earlier than in previous years – means there will be more time than ever before for people to browse stalls and displays as well as enjoy the packed programme of arena activities.

Among confirmed attractions for the Festival of Leisure, which is taking place between 12.30pm and 5pm on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 June 2017, at Maurice Lea Memorial Park in Church Gresley, is the Stunt Riders Live Tour and the talented Knights of the Crusaders.

Organisers are also promising a tempting mixture of sports sessions, children’s activities and sideshows.

Exhibitors are assured of a bumper crowd, but need to get their applications in soon to ensure they get a space.

There are five categories of stall - trade (sales), trade (information only), charity (fund-raising), charity (information only) and fairground operator – with prices set accordingly.

All the paperwork required - application forms, terms and conditions and an FAQ sheet - is available to download from Festival of Leisure.

The deadline for submitting an application is Friday 26 May 2017.
