New July day for Liberation Day

From the success of last years event and all the positive feedback, we have moved the event to Wednesday 19 July, to be part of our Music in the Park series of events and is taking place at Maurice Lea Memorial Park (1.30pm - 4pm).

The event is for South Derbyshire residents aged over 60 years and is free entry. There will be limitless teas and coffees and cake vouchers available for those that attend. However, there is limitations on cake so first come first served. You won’t need to book, please just turn up on the day and stop by our welcome desk for vouchers and a programme.

Not only will this be a free afternoon of live entertainment there will be exhibitors promoting valuable information and taster sessions available from arts and crafts to sports.

The council is still offering free transport; however, lines do not open until the summer. Please check back on our below dedciated page for details. 

There is no need to book onto the event, please just turn up on the day.
