Business Advice Service will be at Festival of Leisure on 24 June

Advisers from the South Derbyshire Business Advice Service will be at Swadlincote’s Festival of Leisure on Saturday 24 June 2023 - come along and find out about self-employment.

Have you ever thought about starting your own business? This is a unique opportunity to drop in for a chat with an Adviser and ask any questions you have. No appointment is required. Whether you want to start in hair dressing, dog walking, consultancy or manufacturing – support is available.

Details of the Derbyshire Business Start-up Grants will be available. The scheme offers grants of up to £10,000 to new or recently established businesses (up to 50% of total cost, subject to meeting eligibility criteria).

The festival will take place over the Saturday and Sunday between 11.30am – 5pm at Maurice Lea Memorial Park in York Road, Swadlincote (DE11 9NW). The South Derbyshire Business Advice Service will be found in the National Forest marquee on the Saturday only.

The South Derbyshire Business Advice Service is funded by South Derbyshire District Council to offer free, impartial and confidential advice on all aspects of starting and running a business, including guidance on any grants that you may be eligible for.
