Changes to South Derbyshire Parliamentary Constituency

elections 2019 elections 2019

The Boundary Commission for England has concluded its 2023 review and the recommended changes, contained in The Parliamentary Constituencies Order 2023, came into force on 29 November 2023.

Some residents of South Derbyshire will be included within the Derbyshire Dales County Constituency for all future UK Parliamentary Elections, rather than South Derbyshire County Constituency, as at present.

The South Derbyshire District Council areas moving to Derbyshire Dales include all polling districts that fall within the following district wards:

  • Hilton
  • Hatton

These changes do not affect the boundaries/areas for other types of election, such as Local Elections (next due in 2027) and the upcoming Derbyshire Police & Crime Commissioner Election and East Midlands Combined County Authority Mayoral Elections scheduled for 2 May 2024.

For additional information on all of the changes happening across the East Midlands, please visit the Boundary Commission for England website.
