Deadline to register to vote approaches

South Derbyshire residents who have not already on the electoral register have until Monday 17 April to register to vote in the upcoming local elections.

Elections will take place to South Derbyshire District Council and parish councils in the district on Thursday 4 May 2023.

Anyone who is not already registered to vote must apply by 11.59pm on Monday 17 April.

Ardip Sandhu, South Derbyshire District Council’s electoral registration officer and returning officer in the local elections, said: “If you are already on the electoral register, you do not need to do anything but if you are not already registered to vote, please make sure you make your application by Monday 17 April.”
