Change to reception point at the Civic Offices

Instead of using the current customer access point, customers will be asked to use the main reception doors.

For most transactions, it remains quicker, easier and simpler to do this online.

To pay your Council Tax or housing rent, the quickest way is to set up a direct debit. You can do this here: Set up a direct debit.

You can also use the online payments of our website or call our touchtone payment line on 01283 595865 which is available to make payments from the comfort of your own home. These are both available 24/7.

Alternatively, you can use a Post Office or PayPoint at a supermarket or a convenience store to avoid visiting the Civic Offices. Find a list of PayPoint outlets here: Find you local PayPoint store.

If you need to contact the Council, we have a range of online forms - just search for the service you need (for example noise complaint or council tax reduction).

Filling in an online form helps us to respond to you better as the forms gather all the information we need to process your request.

The reception point at the Civic Offices will be open on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays between 8.45am and 5pm, Wednesdays between 9.30am and 5pm and Fridays between 8.45am and 4.30pm.

Please remember, if you do need to visit the Civic Offices, it may be necessary to wait or to make an appointment to speak to an officer at a later time.
