'No Mow' update
Due to the upcoming school holidays and prolonged hot weather, we have decided to return all 'no mow' sites to a regular cutting regime for the rest of the summer.
This is the first time the Council has undertaken a relaxed mowing regime, trialled at thirty public open spaces across the District.
Overall, the public response to the trial has been positive with clear benefits for local biodiversity and climate change targets.
We have listened to your comments and will be reviewing lessons learned from our initial 'no mow' trial, so we can build on the benefits of the scheme next year.
