Chair gives poignant Holocaust Memorial Day message
Councillor Malcolm Gee, Chair of South Derbyshire District Council gives a powerful and personal message about the importance of today (Thursday, 27 January) Holocaust Memorial Day 2022.

This year’s theme is the importance of ‘One Day’ which Councillor Gee explains in his video plus his personal memories of his own visit to Auschwitz. He goes on to detail the unveiling of a plaque and dedication of a new tree which takes place every year on Holocaust Memorial Day at Rosliston Forestry Centre.
The Council Is also encouraging residents to get involved in the UK Commemorative Ceremony for Holocaust Memorial Day through a live streamed ceremony taking place at 7pm.
The ceremony will run from 7–8pm.
