New dipping pond ready for schools to explore
The Environmental Education Project Team at Rosliston Forestry Centre welcomed some special visitors last week to celebrate the launch of a new dipping pond and platform which is now open and ready for school visits this summer.
Invited partners and project funders met curious pupils from Rosliston Primary School to find out what is living under the surface of the water.
The building of the pond was first completed in 2016 allowing new inhabitants plenty of time to find their way there - so the pond now contains lots of interesting creatures, making it great for science and habitat study.
On top of this exciting new facility a new online booking system has been launched – making it even easier for schools to book their trip to the centre.
