Thinking of Starting a Business?

Business Business

Business enthusiasts seeking a new challenge are being encouraged to embark on an entrepreneurial journey at a free event in South Derbyshire.

The Thinking of Starting a Business event is aimed at people who are contemplating running their own business or have recently become self-employed.

South Derbyshire Business Advice Service will focus on the essentials required to be business ready. Attendees can expect to get a better understanding of topics such as legal structures, tax, insurance, finding premises, marketing, skills to support a new venture and finance, including grants and loans to get started.

Cllr Martyn Ford, Leader of South Derbyshire District Council, said:

“This event is perfect for those wanting to be their own boss or people who have become recently self-employed. It’s a great opportunity for individuals and businesses to delve into the wealth of skills, expert advice and guidance that’s on offer during the event."

Budding entrepreneurs looking to make all the right moves are invited to Hilton House Hotel, 1 Mill Lane, Hilton, DE65 5GP, 5:30pm – 8:00pm on Wednesday 5 June 2019.

Although the event is free, places are limited so those interested in attending are being urged to book early to secure their place.

Places can be reserved by completing our form here. There is also more information available by e-mailing business@southderbyshire.gov.uk.
