Best wishes to DCFC
Elected Members and Officers at South Derbyshire District Council send their best wishes to Derby County Football Club for their Championship Play-Off Final match on Monday.
Derby face Aston Villa for a coveted place in the Premier League. The game kicks off in Wembley Stadium at 3pm.
The Council has a close working relationship with Derby County Community Trust.
The Trust supports the Council’s Active Schools Partnership in providing football and multi-skills programmes and also plays a role in its Active Communities work by helping out at the Friday Night Project in Swadlincote.
One of the matches at Pride Park, Derby’s home ground, each season, helps to celebrate the volunteers who make such an important contribution to the District.
Several members of South Derbyshire District Council’s staff will be attending the match as will Chief Executive Frank McArdle, who is also Chairman of the Derbyshire Football Association.
