Have your say at area forum meetings
Area Forums offer an ideal opportunity for communities to come together and learn about what’s happening on their doorstep.
Topics such as crime, anti-social behaviour, community projects and Council news, events and initiatives are set to be explored at locations across the District.
Council officers, district and county councillors and the police will all be on hand to provide updates, listen to views on local life and answer any questions.
The Area Forum meetings are being held on the following dates:
Newhall Area Forum – Covering Midway, Newhall, Stanton. Wednesday, October 3 at the Old Post Centre, in High Street, Newhall.Etwall Area Forum - Covering Burnaston, Egginton, Etwall, Foston, Hilton, Hatton. Tuesday, October 9 at Sutton on the Hill Village Hall, in School Lane.Repton Area Forum - Covering Bretby, Findern, Repton, Stenson Fields, Ticknall, Willington. Wednesday, October 10 at Ticknall Village Hall, in Ingleby Lane.Linton Area Forum - Covering Coton-in-the-Elms, Linton, Netherseal, Overseal, Rosliston, Walton on Trent. Thursday, October 18 at Linton Brick Room, in Main Street.Melbourne Area Forum - Covering Aston-on-Trent, Elvaston, Melbourne, Shardlow, Thulston, Weston-on-Trent. Tuesday, October 23 at Melbourne Sports Park, in Cockshut Lane.Swadlincote Area Forum - Covering Church Gresley, Hartshorne, Swadlincote, Woodville. Wednesday, October 24 at Goseley Community Centre, in Hartshill Road, Hartshorne.
Cllr Martyn Ford, Leader of South Derbyshire District Council, said:

“As well as sparking a sense of community pride and spirit, the meetings bring decision making closer to the people who matter the most: our residents.”
All Area Forum meetings start at 6.30pm.
