Fun-filled, friendly and free sports and activities for young people are being held in South Derbyshire over the Easter holidays.
A variety of pop up sessions with a twist are waiting to be enjoyed and explored during the week commencing March 26.
Attendees can go head-to-head in an inflatable football arena, put their skills to the test in a cricket match, play a giant game of connect four or try their hand at soft archery.
The sessions are organised by Active South Derbyshire.
Locations and times include:
- Overseal Village Hall Playing Field, Woodville Road – Monday, March 26 - 1pm to 3pm
- Fox Close Playing Fields, Stenson Fields – Wednesday, March 28 - 1pm to 3pm
- Eureka Park, off Midland Road, Swadlincote – Wednesday, April 4 - 1pm to 3pm

Get Active in The Forest is also holding a Get Cycling session and a Learn to Ride session from 10am on Tuesday, March 27.
The Get Cycling session is perfect for families and is led by a qualified instructor. It starts at Maurice Lea Memorial Park, in York Road, Church Gresley, and takes in the Conkers Circuit and the best of The National Forest. Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.
As part of the Get Active in the Forest’s Bikeability Plus scheme the Learn to Ride session is designed to teach children how to ride a bike in a safe, traffic free environment with a short led cycle around Maurice Lea Memorial Park.
Anyone aged four and above can build their skills and confidence on two wheels at the Learn to Ride sessions - whether they are just starting out or want to use their bike more often.
Bike hire is available for both of the sessions but riding your own bike is preferred, with booking essential.
Cllr Peter Smith, Chairman of Active South Derbyshire, said: “These days are packed full of entertainment and ensure young people throughout the District have free, local activities to keep them busy throughout the Easter break.”
Further information on activities is available on the Active South Derbyshire Facebook and Twitter pages.
