Fun for the family

With beautiful countryside, swathes of young and mature woodland and attractions aplenty, there is plenty to keep you and the family entertained in South Derbyshire.

Swadlincote Ski and Snowboard Centre

All-year round fun includes the 650m Cresta Toboggan run and sno-tubing on the viper slide at the Swadlincote Ski and Snowboard Centre. The Alpine Lodge offers refreshments.

Golf

Swadlincote Golf Centre provides a friendly environment open to everyone from regular golfers to complete first timers. Broughton Heath Golf Club offers an 18-hole, par three golf course set over 42 acres of land incorporating lakes, trees, and ditches.

Horse riding

If you have a family that likes horse riding, or would like to give it a go, trot along to Barleyfields Equestrian Centre, Etwall; Hargate Equestrian, Hilton; Holme Farm Equestrian , Scropton; Knowle Hill Equestrian Centre, Ticknall or Scropton Riding and Driving Centre.

Field Sport, Melbourne

Field Sport is an award-winning outdoor activity centre offering outdoor activities, including clay pigeon shooting, archery, air rifle shooting, pistol shooting, Bushcraft, Zombie shooting and firearms/shotgun courses.
