Planning fee increase
Following the Government’s July 2024 consultation on planning fees, the Town and Country Planning (Fees for Applications, Deemed Applications, Requests and Site Visits) (England) Regulations 2012 (‘the Regulations’) are proposed to be amended with the changes coming into force on 1 April 2025.
Fees will also rise annually with inflation from 1 April 2025 (capped at 10%, measured by the Consumer Price Index from the preceding September).
In addition to this annual fee increase there are also some proposed increases in certain types of applications from 1st April 2025; these include but are not limited to Section 73, householder and prior approval applications.
