Sex establishment licences

The provisions of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982 require sex establishments to be licensed.

Any sex establishment, meaning a sex shop or sex cinema, must be licensed

Sex establishment licences remain in force for one year or such shorter period that we may specify (subject to revocation, cancellation).

If you wish to apply for a sex establishment licence, complete our application form ^{(pdf, 111kb)} and return to us with the appropriate fee.
