Council Staff Travel Plan
The council has a Staff Travel plans in place since November 2019 to reduce car use and provide improved travel options to employees for commuting journeys to work and travelling in the working day to reduce associated carbon emissions and improve the health and wellbeing to staff and the district by reducing impact of fleet emissions.
The Plan has in place targets to:
- Increase staff travelling to work more sustainably by walking, cycling and by public transport
- Increase car sharing
- Promote flexible working
- Reduce travelling mileage whilst at work
