Local funding to support local health and wellbeing

active active

The South Derbyshire Health and Wellbeing Partnership is pleased to announce that funding is available to support health and wellbeing projects in South Derbyshire.

This funding will support the delivery of the South Derbyshire Healthier Communities Plan which aims to improve the health and wellbeing of local people, with specific focus on community-based health prevention and reducing the number of people who are at risk of and/or living with significant health inequalities.

South Derbyshire District Council are a lead partner in the Health and Wellbeing Partnership and will administer the two new grants available on their behalf. The partnership is funded by Derbyshire County Council Public Health.

Applications are invited for projects and initiatives that address one or more of the Healthy South Derbyshire Plan key priority areas – typically these projects range from £5,000 - £10,000.

There is also a small grants scheme with funds of up to £1,500 available for smaller projects in South Derbyshire.

Both applications are open to a variety of not-for-profit groups, community, voluntary and charitable organisations.

If you are unsure which grant would be suitable, the partnership is asking potential applicants to get in touch to discuss their ideas, as they would like to support all eligible projects that best meet the needs of local residents.

For further information and to apply, please visit Local funding to support local health and wellbeing.

The applications deadline for the larger grants is 25 March 2024 and the smaller pot is ongoing.
