Council’s Careline passes annual audit
South Derbyshire District Council is pleased to announce that its Careline and Independent Living Services have successfully passed their annual TSA audits once again.
TSA (TEC Services Association) is the industry and advisory body for technology-enabled care (TEC), which involves installing monitoring equipment in residents’ homes to help them stay independent longer. This includes alarm units, bed sensors, and fall detectors that are connected to a 24/7 call centre where the Council’s experienced and friendly team are on hand to help if something goes wrong.
The TSA audits ensure high standards in emergency response and service quality. Passing this audit confirms the service meets TSA's Quality Standards Framework.
For over two decades, Careline and the Independent Living Service have provided community alarm services in South Derbyshire, offering reassurance through home monitoring and quick access to help, enhancing independence, peace of mind, and security.
The 24/7 emergency line is staffed by skilled operators who respond to calls, provide guidance, contact emergency services, or dispatch fall recovery responders. Careline Support Co-ordinators also offer welfare visits, providing one-to-one support focused on health, wellbeing, and safety advice.
Councillor Gordan Rhind, Chair of the Council’s Housing and Community Services Committee said: “We are delighted to have passed the TSA audit once again. This achievement highlights the Careline team’s commitment to providing top-quality care and support to residents, helping them live independently and with confidence in their own homes.”
