Historic calendar competition launched to mark 30 years of Rosliston Forestry Centre

Rosliston Forestry Centre and South Derbyshire District Council are thrilled to announce a special competition to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Rosliston Forestry Centre and the 50th anniversary of South Derbyshire District Council. This exciting photography competition invites participants to showcase their creativity and passion for Rosliston's beautiful surrounds and stunning natural heritage.

To help celebrate three decades of Rosliston's Forestry Centre and five decades of South Derbyshire District Council individuals of all ages are invited to be part of this historic milestone. Whether you're a seasoned or amateur photographer, or simply someone who loves Rosliston, this competition welcomes everyone to share their unique perspective on this cherished location.

Participants are encouraged to explore Rosliston's forests, trails, and landmarks to showcase the natural beauty of Rosliston through the seasons to create visually stunning photographs that reflect the natural beauty of one of South Derbyshire’s flagship destinations.

Competition entries will be judged by a panel of experts based on creativity, originality, and relevance to the theme. The winning entrants will hold the esteem of being featured in a special anniversary calendar, capturing and preserving the essence of Rosliston's heritage for generations to come.

The finished anniversary calendar will be available for purchase in the autumn, allowing everyone to own a piece of Rosliston's history. Proceeds from the calendar sales will go towards supporting the ongoing conservation efforts and educational programmes at Rosliston Forestry Centre.
