Have your say on the future of Oversetts Recreation Ground

South Derbyshire District Council has announced proposed plans to improve the Oversetts Road Recreation Ground in Newhall and would like your comments on the plans.

The improvements are planning to focus around creating an inclusive space to support residents to live a more healthy and active lifestyle.

The proposal will see sport return to the site after an absence for many years with the provision of a new changing facilities.

Other suggested improvements would include an outdoor gym to help people keep fit and a multi-use games area for local young people.

Access improvements would include a resurfaced entrance and circulatory footpath with seats, litter bins and a link to the adjacent Cadley Park.

There are also opportunities for some new trees and other planting to encourage and support more birds, insects and other wildlife to the location.
