Have your say on the future of Rosliston Forestry Centre
South Derbyshire residents and visitors to Rosliston Forestry Centre can have their say on the future of the popular attraction by taking part in a survey running over the next six weeks.
South Derbyshire District Council has recently signed a new lease with Forestry England to continue to run the centre for the next 30 years.
The survey asks users of the centre and residents their experiences of using Rosliston Forestry Centre and about improvements they would like to see in the future.
Councillor Robert Pearson, South Derbyshire District Council’s leader, said: “We are very proud of Rosliston Forestry Centre and of the facilities on offer.
“The centre is used by thousands of people each year but we are always keen to listen to the views of users and residents of the wider community. I’d encourage as many people as possible to take part over the next six weeks.”
The centre features a mix of woodland and meadow, ponds and play areas offer the perfect playground for visitors of all ages, all year round. There are fully equipped self-catering lodges which provide the perfect getaway.
The centre is home to wildlife including kestrels, owls, kingfishers and waterfowl, as well as bats and butterflies.
The survey is available here: Revitalising Rosliston survey and is open until Friday 21 July.
