Council Chair to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II

South Derbyshire District Council Chair, Councillor Paul Dunn, will attend a Service of Remembrance at the Emmanuel Church, Swadlincote at 6.30pm on Sunday, 18 September, attended by the Venerable Matthew Trick, Archdeacon of Derby and South Derbyshire.

The Chair will observe a one minute silence on behalf of the Council and South Derbyshire residents.

People are asked to observe one minute’s silence on Sunday evening, 18 September at 8pm.

The book of condolence will not be available on the day of the late Queen's funeral but will remain at the Civic Offices in Swadlincote for people to sign until 5pm on Tuesday 20 September.
