Changes to services from Monday 23 March
We are changing the way we deliver some of our services to the public in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
To protect our residents and staff and to prevent the spread of the virus, we are asking people to contact us by phone or email.
The reception of the Civic Offices on Civic Way, Swadlincote will no longer offer a face to face service from Monday 23 March. This will help us to ensure we can continue to offer a phone and email service to all our customers during this time.
Face to face services with Derbyshire County Council will also be suspended, however pre-booked registrar appointments will still go ahead. To make a registrar appointment please call 01629 533985 or 01629 533990.
The majority of our services are still operating as usual although events have been cancelled following Government advice to avoid large public gatherings.
Anyone needing to contact the council should use the contact details available here: South Derbyshire District Council: Contact us.
We will continue to provide a facility for people who are homeless or who are at risk of homelessness with a phone in a private area which will allow them to access the help and advice they need.
