Be your own boss with free workshop

Budding entrepreneurs in South Derbyshire are being offered free expert advice to help them start their own business and be their own boss.

The free Thinking of Starting a Business event is aimed at people who are considering running their own business or have recently become self-employed.

Experts from the South Derbyshire Business Advice Service will focus on the essentials required to be business ready.

Attendees can get a better understanding of legal structures, tax, insurance, finding premises, marketing and finance, including grants and loans.

Cllr Martyn Ford, Leader of South Derbyshire District Council, said:

“Our Thinking of Starting a Business event is open to everyone and offers the perfect platform to help people from all walks of life to establish flourishing enterprises.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for those looking to gain knowledge and receive practical advice about the wide-ranging support that is available to get them up and running.”

Budding entrepreneurs are invited to Melbourne Sports Park, in Cockshut Lane (DE73 8DG), from 5.30pm to 8pm on Tuesday, October 2, 2018.
