Consultations

As part of our commitment to delivering the best services possible, we regularly consult with the community on a wide range of proposals and plans.

From time to time we may also need to consult over issues of national and regional policy and the impact it might have at a local level.

By listening to and involving our residents, partners and other service users in the decision making process, it helps us to ensure that we are democratically responsible for our actions.

We do this in a number of different ways, including the use of questionnaires, electronic consultation and public meetings.

Our Consultation and Engagement Strategy (pdf, 201kb) sets out our approach. It is designed to ensure all levels of community engagement are carried out in the most appropriate way, relevant to the activity and circumstances.
