COVID marshals

South Derbyshire District Council wishes to provide a Covid Marshal service to engage, explain and encourage best practice and

compliance with national COVID-19 secure guidance with businesses and shoppers in South Derbyshire and in the Council’s parks and open spaces.

The service will support local businesses by providing free Covid guidance

compliance audits, will provide Covid compliance support at Council led events such as Committee meetings, and elections and will support the work of the public health services by to provide weekly activity and compliance reports to the Council’s Environmental Health service.

The service will be delivered from September 2021 to March 2022.

The project is funded via the Welcome Back Fund, which supports local authorities in England to put in place additional measures to create and promote a safe environment for local trade and tourism. The focus of the initiative is particularly around the high streets as their economies reopen, encouraging people back and thereby supporting local businesses.

Closing date for tenders is by noon on Monday 23 August 2021
