Müller Milk and Ingredients statement

"South Derbyshire District Council is disappointed to learn that Müller Milk and Ingredients has decided to wind down its operation on Dove Valley Park at Foston.

"The Council will be part of a task group set up by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to provide support for those affected by the decision and to help them find alternative employment.

"Several other major companies in South Derbyshire are actively recruiting at the moment and despite the Muller news, unemployment levels in the District remain significantly below the national average."
